Natalia Ottesen, MS, LPC

Trauma Specialist & Psychotherapist

Natalia Ottesen is a licensed professional counselor and a certified trauma counselor with over 10 years of clinical experience. Natalia received her Master of Science in Educational Psychology with Concentration in Community Counseling from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Natalia is bilingual. She speaks English and Russian languages. 

She specializes in treating trauma (childhood and adulthood)and anxiety disorders; in resolving relationship issues, life crises, grief, and end of life concerns, and in guiding a self-discovery and transformation process to help clients reach their highest potential, and in incorporating spiritual approach for finding answers for existential questions. Natalia provides therapy to adolescents, adults, and older adults. Natalia is trained in and uses such techniques as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), HMR (Holographic Memory Resolution), EFT (Emotion-Focused Therapy). 

Natalia believes in the importance of a holistic approach for treating her clients. So, she also incorporates Reiki (energy work) in her practice. In addition, Natalia uses her knowledge in the influence of nutrition on mental health. She educates her clients about healthier food choices to help them manage their mental health challenges and benefit their well-being overall. Outside of CLARA, Natalia provides in-home mental health counseling to individuals who are members of My Choice Wisconsin and Inclusa managed care organizations. Currently, Natalia is working on being certified in Neuro Meditation, a therapeutic intervention that incorporates brain science and mental health to target needs and goals of individuals in our community to help them become more of their ideal self.
