Mandi Degner, MS is a licensed professional counselor and somatic breathwork practitioner. Mandi has over 10 years of experience in the mental health field, both clinically and within the community. She holds Masters degrees in Community Psychology, both from Alverno College, in professional counseling and community-based research and consultation.
Mandi believes in a treatment approach that is integrative and whole-person focused. This often incorporates community, spirituality, creativity and movement with traditional talk-therapy modalities. Mandi is also trained in Clarity Breathwork, which is a therapeutic modality of conscious, connected breathing, which is combined with counseling and insight as well as somatic experiential processes.
Mandi works with clients across the lifespan, and children as young as 5 years-old. Some of the areas she specializes in working with are complex trauma (C-PTSD), religious trauma, body acceptance and body image as well as incorporating spirituality and mind-body healing practices. Prior to joining the CLARA Healing Institute team, Mandi gained experience in working with children and families in the community health setting at CORE El Centro, a non-profit, natural healing center on the south side of Milwaukee where she directed a family wellness program and taught creative dance classes.
