Kay Bollmus, MS, LPC-IT, NCC, RYT 200

Psychotherapist and Licensed Professional Counselor

Kay combines her passions of education, healing, and self-awareness as a mental health counselor that meets clients wherever they are on their path of self-discovery. An empathetic and non-judgmental listener, Kay comes from a person-centered theoretical foundation and uses tools as necessary from her yoga, mindfulness, and education background to assist clients on their healing journey in a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space. Kay currently works with children ages 12 and above, and adults of all ages.

Kay believes that her clients have the answers they need within themselves. When we allow time and support for exploration with curiosity, clients illuminate those answers and become who they have always been inside. The personal and individual power to change and grow in life can be inhibited by many things, and by taking time to combine a look into the past, the culture, the environment in which we live, and our present-day, present-moment situations, Kay and her clients create goals together that are not only attainable but unique to the individual.

Kay received a Masters in Professional Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mount Mary University. Kay has a professional background working in elementary schools, middle schools, and college counseling centers, and non-profits; she holds  certifications in yoga, polyvagal theory, grief, and trauma.
